If you’ve been exercising and dieting regularly to lose weight and get rid of excess fat, you’re likely feeling great and loving your results! However, even with the best diet and exercise plans, you may be left with some stubborn pockets of fat that you can’t seem to get rid of — or may even deflate your curves in an area you were happy with.

In situations like these, you may consider laser liposuction with fat transfer at Sereno Santé in San Jose, CA. At our state-of-the-art med spa, we use BeautiFill® technology to remove unwanted fat from one area of the body and transfer it to another area. Physician and board-certified anesthesiologist Dr. Maia Chakerian and her talented team are here and ready to help you get the body of your dreams.

How does laser fat removal and fat grafting work?

Laser liposuction and fat transfer is a two-part procedure that removes stubborn fat from areas, like the stomach, arms, hips, chin, and thighs, then reinstates that fat into areas that you would like additional volume, like the breasts, butt, cheeks, and lips. Laser lipo fat transfer at Sereno Santé uses the Alma laser BeautiFill so we can give you the results you’ve been dreaming about. This outpatient procedure is performed at our San Jose, CA office using a local anesthetic to keep you comfortable. The procedure can take anywhere between 1 – 3 hours, depending on the amount of fat being removed and transferred.

What should I expect from my laser lipo results?

After your surgery, you’ll likely have some discomfort and bruising, but this will fade and, after about 4 – 6 weeks, you’ll start to notice your laser lipo results. The recovery period is much faster and less painful than with traditional liposuction and fat transfer, making the use of laser technology much more desirable to many men and women.

Many people find they really enjoy their overall results from BeautiFill fat grafting. The fat that was removed during the laser fat removal process is gone and will not come back; however, it does not mean that new fat cannot form. This is why we always suggest that our patients be at or near their ideal body weight with success maintaining that weight before getting this procedure. It’s important to note that while you may lose a few pounds during the fat removal process, this is not a weight loss surgery. Weight gain and pregnancy could impact the results of this otherwise long-lasting procedure.

The fat vitality rate of the reinstated fat is typically about 95% with BeautiFill, which means you will likely not lose the transferred fat. However, as with liposuction, weight fluctuations could alter these long-lasting results. This is yet another reason we suggest you be at or very close to your ideal weight before receiving this procedure.

If you’ve recently lost weight and are looking to finish off your results by removing small areas of stubborn fat that won’t seem to go away no matter how hard you work, laser liposuction with fat transfer may be just what you need. This two-part procedure allows our San Jose, CA patients to remove stubborn fat from one area of the body and transfer it to another area of the body. This will not only provide you a slimmer figure but will also give you added volume in less than voluminous places of your body. For more information on how a body fat transfer could help you get the figure you’ve been dreaming about, give Sereno Santé a call to schedule a consultation with Dr. Maia Chakerian. Our talented team would love to help make your dreams come true.
